Petit Vour Beauty Subscription Box: September 2019

Today we are going to talk about the fabulous Petit Vour beauty subscription box from September. This has probably been one of my favorite boxes to date with products that I have really enjoyed using. As always, I make sure to use the products for a while myself before sharing my honest review with you. Because of this I am always super behind with posting my reviews… so here we go with the month of September box!

Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm SPF 15

I am definitely more of a chap stick and lip gloss kind of gal over lipstick so I loved this shaded lip balm on first sight! The lip balm applies just like a chap stick, is fairly moisturizing and provides just the right amount of color. The color did not cake or crease for me though it would wear off over time so definitely not super long lasting. With that said, this was the perfect type of lip product for me and the shade was also a great match for me! The lip balm comes in 4 shades, I was given the shade Flirt which is a pinkish red shade and it compliments my fair/light olive complexion well! The best part is that the lip balm has SPF 15 with absolutely no sunscreen taste, so this makes it a winner in my book! Bottom Line: Nice lip balm for everyday wear with added sun protection.

Cost: $17

Moon Rivers Naturals Peppermint Lava Salt Hand + Body Soap

This was immediately intriguing to me because of its dark black color. I right away had anxiety that maybe this product would stain up my shower as other charcoal products have done in the past for me. I was very careful upon first use, but as the bottle was travel size there was no pump and pouring it into my hand did get a bit messy. With all of that said, I was very pleasantly surprised with this soap. It was very moisturizing (coconut and olive oil) I felt and had a moderate lather which made it feel both luxurious but also not too overwhelming. The peppermint was a very uplifting scent while also invigorating my skin. The addition of black lava salt and activated charcoal also means that it can detoxify the skin as it cleanses and moisturizes! Bottom Line: An effective body wash that moisturizes and detoxifies skin while invigorating the senses.

Cost: $18 for 8 Fl Oz

The Seaweed Bath Co. Awaken Firming Detox Body Cream

This lotion came at the perfect time as this has been a very dry and windy season in Southern California and my skin has really taken a hit. Personally, I found the lotion to be extremely hydrating and the biggest highlight was how smooth my skin felt after using it. The lotion advertises as a firming cream based on the fact that it has firming and plumping ingredients such as bladderwhack seaweed green coffee and tea extract and hyaluronic acid. Although I will say that visibly, my skin did not appear all that much different, my legs and arm certainly felt tighter and smoother for sure. Bottom Line: A highly moisturizing body cream that make the skin feel tight, smooth, and luxurious.

Cost: $4 for 1.5 Fl Oz or $15 for 6 Fl Oz

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Growth Serum

Truth be told I have always been very weary of nail serums that promise stronger and longer nails as I have never in my life had great nails or success with these products. I was expecting more of the same with this product but knew I had to give it a try so I could share my thoughts with you all. The tube is quite small, maybe half the size of a mascara tube. The serum itself is nice and thick and you paint it on the nails and cuticles with a small brush similar to that of nail polish. Due to the thickness of the serum, a little goes a long way so my guess is this small bottle could last a few months. The serum itself contains amino acids, Vitamins C + E, antioxidants, peptides, and biotin. After using it daily for 5 days here is what I can report: my nails definitely appeared shiner and felt stronger (my nails naturally are very thin and flimsy). I was quite impressed with the results, however the results diminished quickly the day after I stopped using it on a daily basis. Due to the expense of the product, I do not think this is something that I could keep up with regularly but I do think it would be great in preparation for some sort of big event like a wedding. Bottom Line: Excellent nail serum for shine and strength but too pricey for regular maintenance.

Cost: $75 for .08 Oz

I hope you all found this honest review helpful if you are in the market for any of these products. Any questions or feedback – leave it in the comments below!
