My Top Five Favorites: April
This past month sure has flown by hasn’t it!?? I feel like just yesterday we were celebrating Easter and now all the sudden it’s basically summer. I mean Basically!! Between working, packing, and keeping up with our social agenda, life has been just crazy for us lately and it’s sure to be a little while before we are settled and things calm. So until then I’m in full on “embrace the chaos” mode! So look forward to hearing about all the craziness that this moving process brings for us, but until then I hope you enjoy hearing about a few things that I have been loving this month, well technically last month now since the move has delayed me a little with getting posts up.

Phyto-Pigments Juice Boost Illuminator
I always find myself craving iridescent dewy skin in the summertime so I have been meaning to look for an iliumizer for quite some time now. Up until now I have been using Juice Beauty’s illumizing primer which I have loved, but I decided to try this out for summertime since I really don’t wear much makeup in the summer and therefore don’t require using a makeup primer all too much. I’m so glad I tried this one or because I am in love with it! The pigmentation/iridescence is spot on for a soft yet dewy finish and the formulation is so dense that a little dab goes a long way. Plus its' super compact size makes it convenient for carrying in my purse or beach bag! Shop the illuminator and read the reviews from Petit Vour!
I was in search of a new shampoo and I came across this brand at Ulta. After doing a quick search to be sure that no harsh chemicals were in the product I decided to give it a try. I chose the anti irritation variety because I had been having an itchy scalp and also because the scent was peonies and I am a sucker for peonies. Not only did it help with my itchy scalp but I also get so excited to wash my hair now because the scent is just amazing! I can’t wait to try more from this brand!
Dry Bar Curling Iron and Clips
So to be honest, I don’t get to style my hair too much, but this month has been an exception with so many social gatherings/good bye parties that have been on our agenda. I have very thick hair and the process of blow drying + styling/curling takes ages... well that is until I discovered this curling iron and these clips. The process still takes longer than I can handle most days, but on the days when I have a spare twenty minutes I can get this long thick hair of mine curled with no problem. The clips help me divide my hair up into manageable sections and the curling iron rotates freely so it’s easy to use + release the hair... no snagging hair! The curls also last a whole day for me which is quite an accomplishment for my thick hair! If you have long or thick hair you will love these products!
Atlas of Adventures
I came across this book at Paper Source recently and it was an instant love connection (like so many things at that store are for me)! My husband and I have a love for travel and really want to pass that along to the girls. This book goes through various places around the world talking about what made the countries unique and what special celebrations or events that they are known for and presented it all in a fun and colorful way (just my style)! I got one for the girls and my plan is, when life settles, for them to be able to go through the book and help us decide what family travel destinations will be next on our list!
Eat Pretty: Nutrition For Beauty, Inside and Out
This book has actually been a favorite of mine for a while now. It goes through 85 goods that have been shown to not only help you stay healthy, but beautiful as well, these super foods are good for skin, hair, nails, hormones and so much more! If you love reading about the latest in beauty all while learning about healthy living (just like I do!) then this is the book for you!
I'm so looking forward to what May has to bring, how about you?
