LUXE Botanics Camu Brightening Moisturizer

I absolutely loved this moisturizer upon the first time using it. It is super moisturizing and it truly makes your skin appear brighter immediately. The moisturizer contains Camu Camu which is a fruit from the Amazon rain forest that is extremely high in Vitamin C. The high dose of Vitamin C helps to brighten and lighten skin and the addition of iridescence to the formula that it will instantly make your skin glow.

After using it daily for about a week, the love affair did wear off just a bit. I came to realize that it really is a bit too greasy for my oily prone skin and therefore applying makeup right afterwards was a bit tricky as the makeup would not absorb well on top of the cream. An then there was the issue of the price. I did consider purchasing a full size of this product to use as a night cream or on days when I was super dry, but after I saw the price I decided against it! I still do think this is a great moisturizer, in my opinion it would work best for a night cream or for those with very dry skin. Bottom Line: Effective at brightening the skin but might be too high of a price.

Cost: $10 for 7mL or $85 for 2 oz.

Akar Skin Balance Toning Mist

For me, this was really a nice skin prep and toning product. The best part, hands down, is the fragrance. The smell of rose and orange blossom is simply amazing, and the scent alone leaves my skin feeling nice and refreshed. The product is also great in the sense that it is alcohol free, so no drying out of the skin takes place, and it is not sticky. The major skin benefit of this toner comes from the fact that it balances the skin’s pH which means that all products (and their benefits) that are used afterwards will fully absorb into the skin. Bottom Line: A refreshing skin toner that will prepare your skin for maximum product benefits.

Cost: 0.5 oz. for $15 or 2.4 oz. for $55

Province Apothecary Moisturizing Cleanser & Makeup Remover

Reading through the amazing ingredients that are in this face cleanser, I was very excited to give this one a try. This cleanser contains skincare powerhouse ingredients like frankincense, lavender, and raspberry oil add amazing benefits for skin cells, not to mention their moisturizing properties. My first experience with the cleanser left me with some mixed feelings however. To start with, the cleanser did not smell all that great to me, not a bad smell, but more of an everyday lavender type fragrance. As I continued to notice each time I used the product, my skin would always feel nice and hydrated afterwards yet not fully clean. The cleanser, due to it’s oily nature, was not able to truly cleanse my skin and remove all of my makeup. not very fragrant, cleanses but for me I didn;t feel like it cleansed perfectly, alot of great ingredents frankincense, lavender, bergamot, raspberry oil, does moisturise well just didn;t feel squeky clean, would work well for double cleaning method or if you have on mnimal maekup Bottom Line: A cleanser and makeup remover loaded with powerful skincare ingredients that cleanses while moisturizing. Best used with the double cleansing method.

Cost: $20 for 30 mL or $44 for 120 mL

KVoss Shine On Stick

This multipurpose shimmering crayon was my favorite item in the box this month. The Shine On Stick comes in two shades and I ended up with the shade Sparkling Rose, which is a coral pink color. The crayon contains Cupuacu butter which makes the texture very creamy while also healing and protecting the skin. The formulation and color is also extremely iridescent, which I love as it really adds a pop of shine wherever I place it. Speaking of, it works well in so many areas making it a great multipurpose product to have - eyelids, brow bone, cheeks, and lips! Bottom Line: An amazing, multipurpose color stick that nourishes and moisturizes skin while giving a dose of color.

Cost: $28
